Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny has released a new music video for his song “Ojitos Lindos”. The video, directed by Stillz, features the rapper going on unsuccessful dates with different women, and realizing that none of them can compare to his former partner. The video was released on Valentine’s Day, adding to the melancholic theme of lost love.
“Ojitos Lindos” is featured on Bad Bunny’s fourth album, Un Verano Sin Ti, which was released in May 2022. The album has already spawned nine singles, including “CallaÃta”, “Moscow Mule”, and “Tità Me Preguntó”. The large number of singles from the album is not surprising given its success. Un Verano Sin Ti topped the Billboard composite chart for 2022 and was nominated for a Grammy in the Album of the Year category.
Bad Bunny has become a superstar in Latin America and beyond. He was named the most popular musician of 2022 by Billboard and was included in Forbes’ list of the richest artists of the year. His popularity has even extended to social media, where he was one of the top 10 most streamed artists on TikTok.
The video for “Ojitos Lindos” shows Bad Bunny in a vulnerable state, alone in a hospital with only a dog for company. However, the friendship with the dog seems to bring the rapper some solace. The video ends with a shot of Bad Bunny walking out of the hospital, bandaged head and all, with his faithful companion by his side.
The melancholic theme of lost love in “Ojitos Lindos” is a departure from the upbeat party anthems that Bad Bunny is known for. However, it shows the rapper’s range and versatility as an artist. It remains to be seen what direction his music will take in the future, but one thing is certain – Bad Bunny will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the Latin music scene.
