Depeche Mode To Play 2023 In Europe

This year, fans of the cult musical group Depeche Mode will once again have a holiday. The legendary band will visit Europe again in 2023. The concerts will be part of the world tour “Memento Mori Tour”, which is intended to support the 15th studio album of the same name. The band will hit the road five years after their longest and yet final world tour.

The “Memento Mori” (Remember You’re Gonna Die) tour kicks off on March 23, 2023 with a special limited series of North American shows in cities including New York, Chicago, Toronto and Los Angeles.

The first European concert is scheduled for May 16 in Amsterdam, from where the band will gradually move to Bratislava, where they will present themselves to fans on May 28 at the National Football Stadium.

In addition to Bratislava, the famous Depeche Mode will also visit Barcelona, Madrid, London, Prague, Dublin, Budapest and Paris. The European leg of the tour is due to end on August 11 in Oslo, Norway.

Depeche Mode will perform in Slovakia not for the first time. The band has already played five concertos here, four of which were held outdoors at the Pasenky football stadium and one at the Ondrej Nepela Winter Stadium.

During the first concert in Slovakia, which took place in 2006, the band presented songs from the then new album “Playing the Angel”. During her second concert in 2009, she mainly performed songs from her 12th studio album Sounds of the Universe.

Depeche Mode members returned to Slovakia in 2013 as part of the Depeche Mode Tour. Their predecessors were the Lavagance group and the singer Katarina Knekhtova. The group’s fourth Slovak concert took place in 2014 as part of the Delta Machine Tour. So far, the band’s last fifth concert in Slovakia took place in 2017, when musicians and fans had to deal with heavy rain.

However, Slovak fans could see the band in neighboring Vienna or Prague. The group even performed in socialist Czechoslovakia. It happened in 1988, a year before the Gentle Revolution. Then the concert in Prague was attended by thirteen thousand rock fans.

Despite a very long musical career and a huge creative baggage, the members of the rock band continue to delight their fans in all countries of the world. By the way, not only representatives of the older generation listen to the music of the legendary rock band, rock is also popular today among young people.
