The first international music festival will take place in 2023 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The event will take place from 2 to 10 September.
Together with «The Town», 19000 jobs will be created, Mayor Ricardo Nunez said. In addition, he expects a truly astronomical profit of 400 million US dollars, which is planned to be directed to the development of Sаo Paulo.
The organization has announced an unprecedented partnership with the CCR Group, which ensures that trains providing access to the venue run 24 hours a day on festival days. The mayor also assured that in addition to the availability of transport, the mayor’s office is also thinking about works that will facilitate the movement of the population.
Ricardo Nunez said he likes Bruno Mars, one of The Town’s confirmed international attractions. It is likely that this popular artist will become the host of the international music festival.
Performances were announced for MC Don Juan, Grag Queen, Caio Luccas, MC Dricka, Teto, Tasha & Tracie, Urias and Afrocidade. The organization also provided images that mimic the layout of the stages at the event. The festival will feature a Ferris wheel, cable car and roller coaster, among other attractions.
According to forecasts, «The Town» will host 500 000 people over the five days of the festival. The start of ticket sales for the event will take place on March 14 at 19:00.
The choice of the festival day to which the fan is going to go must be made no later than 24 hours before the official sale of tickets. After this date, which is yet to be announced, selection will be subject to ticket availability.
In the first edition of the new festival, two songs recorded by the voices of Iza and Criolo have already won. The first, which is considered the great anthem of the event, is performed by Iza with the participation of Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande and an orchestra led by maestro Eduardo Souto Neto. The second, a trap dedicated to the arts and culture of the capital, was recorded by rapper Criolo in an unprecedented collaboration with Iza and artistic director Ze Ricardo. Both artists have already been approved as part of the festival.
More than 30 LED screens will make up the stage. The event will also feature a gastronomic space with a variety of Sоo Paulo cuisine.
