Spotify didn’t invent audio streaming, but it has reached such a high level of relevance that it’s synonymous with digital music streaming today.
Since November 2021, Spotify has made it easy to block anyone on its platform. Previously, you had to contact the support service of the streaming service and place an order there. Fortunately, with this change, the user can complete the entire process directly through your application quickly and painlessly, for whatever reason they see fit.
You can block someone on Spotify from their account profile. To do this, follow a few simple steps.
• Open your Spotify page. Log in to your Spotify profile, whether through the web or the app. Go to your friends list and find who you want to block;
• When you have selected the subscriber on the streaming service you want to block, look for the three dots in the upper right corner under Subscriptions. Click on them to open options related to your friend;
• In the space above the user’s profile, click “Block” to prevent anyone from following your Spotify status from now on.
As with many other apps and services, once a block is confirmed, the blocked user will no longer be able to check or follow the songs they listen to, public playlists, or the person’s page. Thus, its activity in relation to your account will become impossible.
If you decide to cancel the blocking action, all you have to do is follow the same steps as above. However, this time you need to click the “Unblock” button. Ready! The user will again have access to check previously blocked content in Spotify.
It’s worth remembering that you can also block artists and songs on Spotify. Thus, the user can prevent the music streaming service from playing several tracks on his profile that he does not like. Blocking someone on Spotify may seem like an extreme act, but it’s up to the user to decide what’s best for them.
