During a conversation with your best friend, you learned that Spotify allows you to download songs to listen to offline, that is, without an internet connection. To find out more about this and, above all, to find out if this feature is available even without activating a paid subscription, you did some research on the Internet and finally came across this guide.
Caution!
We would like to immediately warn you against any third-party programs that promise to download music from Spotify for free or, in any case, to be able to extrapolate it from the service in question. For obvious legal reasons and methods related to the protection systems applied to songs (DRM), it is not possible to extrapolate music from Spotify, but it is only allowed to download it offline – under certain conditions – through a special function of the official Spotify application, among other things, only from the device on which the download was made. Therefore, all applications and services that promise to extract tracks from Spotify should be considered illegal and a potential means of distributing malware and/or fraud.

You can find the full explanation right below.
How to Download Music from Spotify Without Premium
If you’re wondering if it’s possible to download music from Spotify without Premium, you should know that using the free version of the service only allows you to download podcasts. To also be able to download individual songs, entire albums, or playlists, you need to activate Spotify Premium.
If you’re still wondering how to download podcasts on Spotify, grab your smartphone, launch the app of the respective service and log in to your account by selecting the “Sign in” option or one of the other available access methods (Continue with Google, Use Facebook, and Continue with Apple). However, if you don’t have an account yet, click on “Sign Up for Free” and follow the on-screen instructions to create one.
At this point, click on the “Search” option located in the bottom menu, open the “Podcasts” section, and click on the cover of the podcast you’re interested in. Alternatively, by selecting the “Search” option, type the name of the podcast you want to download in the “Artists,” “Songs,” or “Podcasts” field and select it from the search results.
In both cases, on the screen of the selected podcast, click on the down arrow icon corresponding to the episode you want to download and wait for the download to complete (you’ll see a down arrow icon on a green background). Then repeat the process for all other episodes and podcasts you want to listen to offline.
To view all your downloaded podcasts, click on the “Your Library” option in the bottom menu, select the “Downloaded” option, and open the “Your Episodes” section.
Now, tap the ▶︎ button corresponding to the downloaded episode you want to listen to start playing it. However, to delete the downloaded content, tap the corresponding down arrow icon and select the Delete option. Simple, right?
