Linkin Park's most controversial album

Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park discussed in communication with reporters which of the albums of this group, in his opinion, is the most controversial.

The group released seven large studio albums, but not all of them, according to Mike, were equivalent. Shinoda said: «A Thousand Suns, which was our fourth album, was not as commercially successful as the previous ones, because nothing could be in principle – it was simply impossible».

According to Mike, almost every second fan of the group was extremely disappointed with this album, and there was no question of commercial success. If previous and subsequent albums received from four to five stars of the rating, then this album received only two stars.

«A Thousand Suns» was a 2010 album, and fans perceived it then as a dramatic change in the musical direction of the popular group, although, in fact, this was far from the case.

Some fans of the group, on the contrary, consider this album to be the greatest achievement in the musical career of the group. And they still call him as his favorite. And it is even difficult to say what exactly made it so contradictory and ambiguous. Mike suggests that this was a certain period in the group’s work, when its members tried to look for new ways in work, trying, perhaps, to find themselves in the changed conditions of the music industry.

Meanwhile, Mike Shinoda shared new single «Happy Endings» with UPSAHL.
