What Is Spotify Group Session

The Swedish music streaming service Spotify is constantly updated and improved. This can be considered one of the reasons for its incredible popularity among music lovers. Today, the number of fans and users of Spotify has long exceeded 400 million people. Almost half of this number has a paid premium subscription.

One of the newest Spotify options is called Group Session, and it’s designed to let you enjoy Spotify music together. Each from your device. To use this feature, you need Spotify Premium.

In Spotify, when you click on the device icon, you will see the “Start Group Session” option. If necessary, you will need to log in. Then you will have the opportunity to invite your friends. Invitations can be published on social networks, sent via WhatsApp or Telegram, etc.

Whoever receives the invitation will be able to listen to Spotify music on their or your device, controlling it from their device.

For a long time, social networks have allowed you to upload your data and content. Either to save a backup, or because you want to unsubscribe and leave everything you did there. Same with Spotify.

In Spotify’s privacy settings on its website, you can request the download of your Spotify data. This includes playlists, streaming history, searches, subscribers, whatever you have in your library. Everything you’ve done on Spotify in the past year will be reflected in this data.

After requesting your data, Spotify will prepare it. The process can take up to 30 days. When everything is ready, you will receive an email to download this data.

Keeping up to date with the music releases of your favorite artists can sometimes be tricky. For this reason, Spotify has developed a new section where users can see in feed form all the releases of the singers, DJs, bands and other artists they follow on the platform.

This feature was originally discovered by Jane Manchun Wong, an engineer who in the past has also identified the still-under-development features of the most popular music streaming services. However, it is only now that some users have begun to discover that this feature is active on their own smartphones.

To access a new panel called Follow Feed, users must click on the lightning bolt icon located in the top right corner of the app. Once there, you’ll find all the releases of the artists you follow in chronological order.

As usual, the company is testing this feature with a small number of paid subscribers, so it’s likely that if you log into this streaming app, you won’t find the lightning bolt icon or the Follow Feed quote.

This is not the only novelty that Spotify as a music streaming platform has introduced recently. The company recently redesigned some parts of its iOS and Android app, including the home screen and other small details of the app.

The ability to group use the popular music streaming service has significantly increased its popularity, which is already at the highest level.
