In today’s day and age, there are many people who start bands. Some of these people do not know what they are getting themselves into, or they don’t think about the consequences when joining a band. The break-up of a band is one of the most difficult things that can happen to an artist. As fans, we may never know what truly went wrong and how it was felt by those who were in the group. But as outsiders looking in, we can see some common themes among these types of stories: pressure from other obligations outside the band, arguments between members, a lack of creative fulfillment or unspoken expectations that just weren’t met. But what happened with the Foos?
Pat Smear stated his leaving the band was mostly due to being tired from continually doing tours – in a rhythm that needed a very notorious heart (in both senses) to be able to manage the intensity. Foo Fighters do indeed have a very intense touring schedule. You can check it out here.
