Spotify has been offering outstanding services to hundreds of millions of fans for years. In fact, it was the first music streaming service ever invented, and more than a decade later it’s still in business, as popular as ever.
That in large part is thanks to its extremely thought-through design, from the most advanced of settings like customizable crossfading to very complicated mechanisms that offer you music you’ll love. What also makes Spotify successful are its thoughtful plans. Premium, Duo, Family, Free…there’s something here for everyone. When you’re switching over, however, you may have questions like “Will I lose my tracks when I go over from one plan to another?”. Worry not! This wonderfully intricate system has all your best interests at heart.
The Family (Premium) account allows people to share the ecstasy of Spotify with their loved ones. Anyone can create shareable playlists and invite others to participate. When they delete tracks, they will disappear from shared Playlists, so here’s the concern: if I upgrade to a Family plan will my original songs I had before disappear?
Worry not! If you were on a different plan before and you join Spotify Premium all the content you had before will remain with you. Spotify takes care of everything so that you can have the best possible experience, so don’t forget to regularly update, clean your hard drive so there’s enough space, and install a good antivirus, and everything will be peachy.
